Solving the Connectivity Puzzle: The Bollon & Thallon Tech Muster is Coming!

Are you tired of staring at a "No Service" bar? Does the thought of setting up new Ag-Tech make you want to walk away from the computer? You aren't alone—and help is on the way.

This February, I am hitting the road to bring the Connectivity Clinic & Tech Muster to Bollon and Thallon. Proudly supported by the Regional Tech Hub and Agforce, these events are designed to move past the jargon and provide real, hands-on solutions for our rural communities.

What is the Tech Muster?

This isn't your typical sit-and-listen seminar. It’s an interactive "roadshow" where you can talk face-to-face with the people who build and manage our digital infrastructure. Whether you are a primary producer looking to streamline your data or a resident wanting to stay safe from online scams, there is something here for everyone.

When and Where:

  • BOLLON: Thursday, 19 February 2026 | Bollon Civic Centre Hall

  • THALLON: Friday, 20 February 2026 | Thallon Town Hall

Meet the Experts: Our Speaker & Exhibitor Lineup

We have assembled a team of experts to help you navigate the digital landscape:

  • Regional Tech Hub: Liam Boundy will be on hand to provide independent advice on the best connectivity options for your specific location.

  • Infrastructure Giants: Both NBN (Grant Higgs) and Telstra (Sarah Brand) are joining us with trade stalls and presentations to answer your questions about network coverage and hardware.

  • Cyber Security & Banking: Representatives from the Commonwealth Bank will be discussing how to keep your online banking systems secure and how to spot the latest scams.

  • Community & Safety: The RFDS (Victoria Nancarrow) will provide a vital update on the airstrip notification system and registration process.

  • Government & Future Planning: Garnet Radford (Balonne Shire Council) will present on major projects and "jobs of the future" within our shire, while Steven Cleary (QLD Gov Mobile Service Centre) will be available for 1:1 assistance.

  • Digital Resources: Mitch Greig (Regional Libraries QLD) will showcase the wealth of digital resources available through our local libraries.

  • Ag-Tech Innovation: We are excited to welcome Vence, who will be demonstrating the latest in virtual fencing technology—a game-changer for livestock management.

What to Expect on the Day

The day is split into two halves to make sure you get the most out of your time:

  1. Morning Sessions (9:30 AM – 12:30 PM): A series of short, 20-minute presentations and live demos. No long-winded speeches—just fast-paced, useful information.

  2. The Expert Clinic (12:30 PM – 2:00 PM): This is your time for 1:1 help. Bring your devices, bring your questions, and sit down with the experts at their trade stalls.

Oh, and did we mention the free smoko? We’ll have plenty of tea, coffee, and catering to keep you fueled up.
